I've eaten lunch here twice this week, and I'm going back for dinner tonight. The food is great, the waitress is charming, and the space itself is attractive, clean, and inviting.

So far I've had the savory tart (delicious), the roasted red pepper/goat cheese/basil quiche special (the quiche was a little fluffier than I like, but the crust was possibly the best I've ever had in a quiche, flaky and not oily), and the vegan lentil soup (the soups change, this isn't always available). The soup was wonderful, and I really appreciate that they have vegetarian/vegan items. The tart and the quiche both came with a salad that was perfectly dressed in a house vinaigrette.

I work nearby, and there really isn't anything like it in the neighborhood. I'm so glad I noticed the sign and checked it out!

Just What The Hood Needs

I've been to Tilikum Place for dinner. This tasty, reasonably priced cafe is just what that neighborhood (what is the name of that hood anyway? Upper Belltown? Lower Seattle Center?) needs. The muscle starter with apple in milk broth is excellent, the green salad with red beets was plentiful and fresh. All portions are big. The Mushroom papperdelle was excellent and a black cod special was inventive. It is a comfortable place. The service seemed inexperienced but that will improve with time. I recommend it.

Amazing food at very reasonable prices. My boyfriend and ate to our hearts' content and enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine and it didn't break the bank. The rustic squash tart and the mussels were particularly delicious. I couldn't stop sopping up the remaining sauce from the mussels with bread!

Excellent food and value

I visited Tilikum Place Cafe for a Friday dinner and found the food to be excellent. Too often, when visiting a restaurant I'm left budgeting for what I want to sample. At Tilikum the price point for the genre is below what I'd expect, but the presentation, taste, and overall atmosphere is definitely above average.

I heartily recommend this welcome new addition to Seattle's dining scene!

I attended the soft opening at Tilikum and found the food to be excellent. The sauce that went with the mussels dish was off the hook. I kept wanting to drink it. The peach pie with the vanilla bean ice cream was also fantastic. Go check it out...

Lunch and dinner

Tilikum is near my office so I've eaten dinner there once and lunch twice in the past week. Its friendly, well-lighted with food that has been consistently excellent and original (or at least original to me - I didn't order it but they had a rabbit sandwich on the lunch menu one day). For dinner, I had the duck confit, for lunch, I had crab cake one day and the butternut squash another. I think the butternut squash is seasonal so I would try that if they still have it when you go, after that, the duck was pretty dang delicious. I highly recommend it.
